Ingredients

  • Ingredients:

    • 2 tablespoons of Momelle ditakh powder

    • 1 liter of water

    • 1 lemon, cut into slices

    • 1 handful of fresh mint leaves

    • Honey or agave syrup to taste (optional)

Preparation

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

  2. Add the ditakh powder and let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes over low heat. Ditakh has a more delicate flavor than kinkéliba, so it is best not to steep it too much to avoid bitterness.

  3. Remove from heat, add lemon slices and mint leaves. Let steep, covered, for another 15 minutes.

  4. Strain the infusion and let it cool completely.

  5. Add honey or agave syrup to taste, if desired.

  6. Pour the infusion into a carafe and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until chilled.

  7. Serve the iced infusion in glasses with ice cubes and fresh mint leaves for decoration.
